Torbay Conservatives are working with elected mayor Nick Bye to deliver residents a cleaner, safer and more prosperous Bay. The Torbay area has suffered from years of decline since the Lib Dems took over the Town Hall in 1990 with visitor numbers and inward investment figures falling every year that they have been in control. Labour has failed to realise the importance of local private businesses to the economy of seaside towns like Torbay; and that much more could be done to encourage employment and prosperity by reducing red tape and increasing local democracy.
