The BBC News Peter Luff in British Socialists Party Directory

A former lobbyist with a strong grasp of Commons procedure, Peter Luff was first elected to the Commons in 1992. He served as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to junior ministers, including Ann Widdecombe, until the Conservative defeat in 1997. He was an enthusiastic supporter of rail privatisation. He also attracted media attention for his campaign against teenage magazines, claiming that their content was too sexual.
